Season’s Greetings from Arbroath Town Board

Dear Residents and Friends of Arbroath,

As we’re now fully in the festive season, Arbroath Town Board members would like to extend our warmest wishes to you and your loved ones this Christmas.

The past few months have been been rather remarkable for our community as we’ve now officially secured up to £20M of UK Government funding to propel the aspirations for Arbroath forward, and we simply couldn’t have achieved this without you and your contributions during the initial consultation phase.

You’ll hear more from us in 2025 as we continue our work towards making Arbroath one of the finest seaside towns in Scotland. This is just the beginning and we firmly believe that Together We Can!

A feast of festive window displays!

Your votes were counted, and the winner of our Festive Window Decorating Competition is Dream Hair. Their delightful, sparkling winter scenes truly turn heads when visiting West Port. A shoutout to Henry & Co for coming in a close second, and Ferriers Florist for securing third.

Thank you to all the shops that participated and brought so much seasonal cheer to our community. We hope you’ve had plenty of visitors in the build up to Christmas as people choose to shop local and support the wonderful businesses right on our doorstep!

We’ve been appreciating the wonderful Arbroath Harbour lights!

Grant’s Christmas Memorial Tree, Santa’s sleigh, and the other decorations are amazing – as are all the lights on the boats!

Thanks to the sponsors who have helped illuminate the boats – Capbal Limited, Guy Stirling, Angus Soft Fruits, David Fyffe, Dickmontlaw Farm, and P J Stirling. Great effort by everyone involved and something to build on year-on-year.

We are committed to gathering input from our community to ensure this project best reflects our shared values and aspirations. This consultation process is an opportunity for everyone to contribute their thoughts and ideas, and we welcome your feedback as we shape the future together.
