Barry Sellars, a lifelong resident of Arbroath, has built a distinguished professional career in both business and football. Since 2003, Barry has been a pivotal part of The Astute Group, an Angus-based brand and marketing company, where he became a director and business owner in 2010. Under his leadership, the company has grown to employ over 20 staff, consistently delivering strong marketing solutions, exceptional customer service, and reliable P&L results.

Barry’s extensive experience encompasses a broad range of skills in marketing, customer service, project management, and people management. His professional demeanour is characterised by reliability, loyalty, and disciplined teamwork, making him a respected figure in his field.

In addition to his business acumen, Barry is a seasoned professional in the football industry, with 28 years of experience. His football journey includes playing, coaching and managing at senior level. Latterly, he served as the Head of Recruitment at Arbroath Football Club from November 2022 to December 2023.

As of January 2024, Barry has been serving as a Trustee and Vice-Chair of the Arbroath FC Community Trust, further contributing to the local community.
