The inaugural meeting of the Arbroath Town Board on the 12th August was a success. The meeting covered a wide range of topics, from governance and policies to public engagement and community involvement.

• Governance and Policies: The board discussed essential governance arrangements and policies, including terms of reference, conflicts of interest, and code of conduct.
• Board Composition: The board discussed potential members and agreed on a term limit of 5 years.
• Funding and Resources: Updates were provided on funding and the availability of resources.
• Board Operations: The board established meeting dates and discussed website content and public engagement strategies.

Next Steps:
The board will now focus on finalising policies, recruiting additional members, and developing public engagement plans.
