The public display showcasing feedback from the recent Arbroath Town Plan consultation is now open at Old and Abbey Parish Church.

A Record-Breaking Engagement:
Over 800 individuals, including a significant number of young people, actively participated in the consultation, sharing their ideas and aspirations for Arbroath. This resulted in an impressive 2,105 comments and suggestions, making it the largest community engagement exercise for any town plan in Arbroath’s recent history. The public display features a selection of postcards, offering a glimpse into the diverse perspectives and passionate opinions of local residents.
Securing the Future:
As one of 75 UK towns selected to receive up to £20 million in UK Government funding over 10 years, Arbroath is poised for a transformative future. The newly formed Arbroath Town Board, guided by the community’s feedback, has developed a comprehensive Long-Term Plan. This plan was submitted to the Government before the November deadline, ensuring Arbroath is well-positioned to capitalise on this significant opportunity.
Funding and Next Steps:
The first phase of funding, amounting to £200,000, will be allocated in the financial year 2025/26. This crucial funding will enable Our Arbroath to further engage with the community and lay the groundwork for future projects. Additionally, the first £2 million of project funding is expected to be available in spring 2026.
