The Our Arbroath Town Board is taking to the streets this June to gather views on the future look and feel of Arbroath town centre, with the community and businesses are being urged to get involved.
Town Board and project subgroup members will be completing two walking tours through the town centre, stopping at key locations to hear from residents and businesses at designated points. The walks take place on Wednesday 11th June from 5pm to 8.30pm and Saturday 13th June from 10am to 1.30pm.
At each stop, boards and feedback sheets will be set up for open discussion. Topics on the table include strategic lighting, potential mural locations, painted door trails, clean-up and painting initiatives and improvements to planters and public seating.
The route takes in four discussion points: Arbroath Community Centre, the Old and Abbey area, The Port Kitchen on Wednesday and outside The Station Bar on Saturday, before finishing back at Gayfield.
Please note that these are approximate timings as it depends on how much discussion there is and the pace of the walkers.
Wednesday 10th June.
Start: Gayfield. 5pm

Approx 5.30pm – 5.50pm
➡ Discussion Point Two: The Old and Abbey Area
Approx 6.30pm – 6.50pm
➡ Discussion Point Three: The Port Kitchen (Wed) / In front of The Station Bar (Sat)
Approx 7.20pm – 7.40pm
They’ll finish at Gayfield, which will also be a discussion point. Arrival time will be around 8pm with the consultation closing around 8.20pm.

For those who cannot make either date, an online survey will go live on the Our Arbroath website on Wednesday 17th June and will remain open until 21st June 2026. Paper copies are also available from the Old and Abbey and The Port Kitchen.
The consultation is part of the ongoing work to deliver the £20 million Pride in Place investment, with the community’s feedback helping to shape how funding is spent on town centre improvements.
