Torchlit Walk

Arranged by the Friends of Arbroath Abbey, a Torchlit Walk from the Signal Tower to the Abbey will take place on Saturday, November 29th from 4.30pm. 

The torchlit procession will begin at 4.45pm, with attendees encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before at Signal Tower. Participants will be guided by candlelight, and can also use glow sticks as they travel across the harbour to the Old Shore Road.

Walkers will stop for food and drinks at the Commercial Inn, before viewing the Woolly Worker’s Christmas Display at Dangerpoint and continuing on to the Creel Christmas Tree in Arbroath Harbour for the light switch-on at 5pm.

The evening will end at the Abbey, where ‘the Pageant’ will be projected across the Abbey walls, complete with narration from local historian Jim Millar. 

Hot drinks and snacks will also be available from stalls on-site. Visitors can try their luck at the festive tombola, with prizes provided to.
