Come along and have a chat!
Today Lauren and Fiona met with pupils from Arbroa Today Lauren and Fiona met with pupils from Arbroath High School and Arbroath Academy to bring together young people and hear their ideas for the future of our High Street — one of our key priorities in the Our Arbroath project.

As the next generation of town‑centre users, we wanted to understand their vision:
✨ What feels welcoming?
✨ What needs improved?
✨ What’s missing?
✨ How could lighting, seating, planting and public spaces better support young people?

We kicked things off with a fun team‑building session to help everyone mix, connect and get creative. Then the groups headed out in pairs to explore the High Street and share their honest thoughts.

The feedback was brilliant — thoughtful, passionate and full of ideas about how Arbroath can become a more vibrant, safe and inspiring place for young people.

We’re excited to share that this group will now form the Our Arbroath Youth Town Board, working together on a dedicated project that will help shape the future of our town centre. This is just the beginning — and we’re so proud of the energy, insight and leadership shown by our young people today 💛

The first round of power‑washing on Arbroath High The first round of power‑washing on Arbroath High Street has already made a huge visual difference. It's brighter, cleaner and so much more welcoming. It might look like a small step, but it’s a meaningful one.

What makes it truly special is who made it happen - everyday people from our own community! 🙌 Volunteers who simply want to see Arbroath improve. People who care enough to show up, roll up their sleeves, and be part of the change they want to see. Their effort is a reminder that regeneration isn’t just a project… it’s a community movement.

When our town looks cared for, people feel cared for.
A cleaner High Street brings pride, joy and a sense of ownership. Those feelings strengthen community spirit and help build momentum for the wider regeneration work ahead.

Small actions âžś real change âžś a stronger Arbroath.

This is just the beginning and it shows how powerful it is when local people lead the way.
