I am deeply rooted in the Arbroath community, having moved here as a teenager during its thriving years. My professional journey has largely unfolded in and around Arbroath where I have worked in schools, with the Arbroath CLD team and the college, building expertise in youth work, adult education, community empowerment and regeneration. My extensive experience in partnership working has allowed me to build significant social capital with both the third and public sectors in Arbroath. Additionally, my skills as a bid writer have secured substantial funding for Dundee & Angus College, bolstering our own community engagement efforts.
I believe I bring value to the Board by serving as a vital link to a large segment of our community, including D&A students and staff, stakeholders, community partners, and our wider โpeopleโ. My goal is to actively involve our college community in the My Arbroath campaign, boosting engagement with your social media platforms and increasing attendance at events, as well as collaborating on events and activities where possible. I am eager to explore opportunities for collaboration to further strengthen our community ties.
